BODY LIFTS

Brazilian Butt Lift

This is a very popular and specialised procedure that involves the removal of fat from your stomach to your Butt and Hips. This is done to create new contour lines that will fill out and create rounder and firmer buttocks. Fat Transfer may not necessarily be done to enlarge the back side, in common situations, it is used to fill out “hip dips” and generally shape up the contour of the buttocks.

WHAT MAKES BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT SUCH A POPULAR OPTION?

Your body’s shape, size and proportion are highly determined by genetics. Depending on how your body stores fat and your skeletal structure will have a huge influence on the appearance of your body. While many try and “change” this by having regular exercise and by eating right, some still end up unhappy with a “Flat shape and hip dips despite all this”

That is where the Brazilian Butt lift comes in! The Brazilian Butt lift with Fat Transfer will achieve reshaping, enhancing and filling areas of concern.

IS THE PROCEDURE RIGHT FOR ME?

  • Want to fit better into clothing

If that is the case the best thing would be to determine if you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT?

While the Brazilian Butt Lift gives great options when it comes to body contouring, there are some patients who are better suited for the procedure compared to others. We are also sensitive to the importance of having realistic expectations. Generally, you are likely to be a good candidate for Brazilian Butt lift. You agree with the following.

  • You would like to achieve butt augmentation without silicone implants
  • You have enough fat deposits that will provide enough volume for the filling
  • Your skin elasticity is firm and generally have good skin tone
  • You are able to take time off and avoid directly sitting on your buttocks for a couple of weeks
  • You have realistic expectations
  • You understand more than one procedure may be required to produce the best results. As the name suggests, the Brazilian Butt Lift is not a lifting procedure and therefore will not address excess skin on the buttocks. Sometimes the skin may need to “lifted” before the procedure.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

Liposuction has to be done before. Standard areas Liposuction would be done would include the midsection. This includes your upper tummy, lower tummy, upper back, lower back, waist and love handles. Meaning we have to first snatch the waist.

The liposuction done on these areas will also help enhance the results that would come from the Brazilian butt lift. Once the Excessive fat has been removed, the fat will be processed in a special container or canister, and will Further be re-injected into the butt and hips. your surgeon will be very careful to know which areas fat can be injected into. Within Our practice, all our Surgeons always inject fat into the subcutaneous areas to avoid serious complications such as a fat embolism. This is one of the safest ways to have fat transfer done without any complications.

The procedure will normally take three hours. Your surgeon will be keen to make sure that everything is well balanced; from projection to volume and also general shape. Our patients often want well sculpted round butt. We will always recommend natural looking results for more durability and also aesthetically pleasing results.

Following your successful procedure, you will be taken to our Recovery Suites where you will be watched until the anaesthesia has worn off.

HEALING AND AFTERCARE

WHAT TO EXPECT WHILE HEALING FROM THE PROCEDURE

After your procedure you will find yourself in a recovery room. You will be in a prone position, Meaning you will be lying flat on your stomach. This basically is done to make sure that your fat cells are not exposed to any sort of pressure after the procedure. Within a couple of hours you will be able to walk around and also feel yourself again. At this stage you will be given a light meal which will be able to give you some energy to start off your recovery.

Healing will roughly take three days to one week. Most of the healing is being experienced on the areas that have been done for Liposuction. For the next couple of weeks you are expected not to sit directly on your butt.

After your procedure you will immediately notice your results. You might notice a small reduction in the size of the butt after a few weeks. This is because at least 15 to 30% of fat cells may die during the transfer or grafting of fat. However this is not to be a huge concern. Your surgeon will have already compensated for the expected loss of fat therefore it will not ruin your whole aesthetic. However, to maintain your new body, we suggest you follow these steps:

  • Keeping a good diet. There is such a thing as feeding the fat. It is encouraged that at this time you eat the right meals that we will be guided with our nutritionist in order to feed the fat. This will encourage fat cells to grow and also maintain its new position.
  • Start your workout after two months. Rigorous activity is Highly discouraged at this time this is because we want the fat cells to fast attach themselves to blood circulation(vascularization)
  • Wearing the right clothing. You will be advised on what clothing would best work for you. Within a period of two months jeans and tight leggings are highly discouraged. This is because we want to maintain the integrity of the fat cells that have been transferred. Too much pressure on the fat cells may kill them leading to fat loss. Loose clothing such as dresses and deras is a best to wear at this time
  • Maintain the same weight. Fluctuations of weight at this time is not recommended. It is important to maintain the same weight or keep a stable weight. If you gain weight other areas that have not been done Liposuction on will gain the fat
  • Use your BBL Pillow. Remember at this time you cannot sit on your butt directly this is to make sure that your fat cells are not compromised and to not die. Basically you will be advised to sit on your thighs and not on your butt
  • Sleep on your tummy. We should have no form of pressure on the new butt therefore even while sleeping you will be expected to sleep on your tummy
  • No driving. You will not be allowed to drive for at least two weeks this is to reduce the amount of sitting to help maintain the fat cells integrity.
  • Understanding your surgery. Understanding the surgery is very important. There are moments you will feel down and discouraged due to some swelling or discomfort. Having a positive mindset towards your healing. Will really help you into having a pleasant experience. Your body is still changing and you are still coming to terms with your new frame. This may come with some ups and downs. We are here to help you deal with these challenges but ultimately guarantee that you will be happy with your results.

ANSWERING YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much fat can be transferred to the back and hips?

For a small fat transfer between 700 ML to 850 ML can be transferred to each cheek. For Full lodge volume or what we call a double BBL 850 ML to 1500ml and milk can be transferred on each cheek.

We are always careful to make sure that we transfer the same amount of fat on each side to give an equal and balanced shape.

What if I don’t have enough fat?

For some patience we may aesthetically gain a bit of weight for us to be able to get enough fat to be transferred. Sometimes rather than fat transfer silicone implants may also be suggested in a combination with fat grafting.

Is one procedure enough for me to see results?

For most patients one procedure may be enough for you to see drastic results. However, some other patients depending on our starting frame may need more than one procedure to get the best results.

For some patients the first procedure may be done to create a foundation and the following procedures may be used to perfect the results.

Have you ever had any complications from a BBL procedure in Kenya?

A Brazilian butt lift is quite a safe procedure if done properly by the right Surgeon And in an accredited health facility. Our facility is registered under the regulations of the KENYA medical board. Our Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon‘s within our panel have also met our high standard when it comes to technique delivery and training.

We have had almost 3000 procedures done successfully within our facility and do not have any deaths within our practice.

Can I get a fat embolism after the Brazilian butt lift?

This is a very good question. We use the best techniques that will highly avoid this possible complication. Such complications can occur if done by inexperienced surgeons. The technique is also very important. Our surgeons are keen to use the subcutaneous technique. Which basically means that technique is fully focused on injecting the fat only in the subcutaneous area.

We do not inject the fat under the muscle because this is where most blood vessels are present making it much easier for any faction fat cells to travel up the heart or lung. Having fat directly under your skin is much safer and better.

When will I see my final results?

Results can be seen instantly, but the final results will be seen between 3 to 6 months.
