Before your liposuction procedure we will ask for a detailed medical history which will give us a better understanding on how to best manage your surgery.
At this point will be the perfect time to disclose any allergies you may have or medical conditions. Any medication, or herbs being taken at this time should also be disclosed.
Your surgeon may recommend you to stop taking any blood thinning medication or supplements. As your surgery day approaches, you will be prepped for surgery. For smokers, you may be asked to stop smoking at least two weeks prior to your procedure date. This will help in having a less complicated procedure and an easier faster recovery.
You will be admitted into the facility and prepped further, some patients may be admitted a day before their dates for surgical preparation. You will be asked to fill in the consent forms and any other information. This will be an indication that you fully understand the risks and complications of the procedure, that will have been discussed during your preliminary consultation and surgical review. A rundown of the procedure is done from your surgical review. At this time your surgeon will mark areas with lines and circles to outline the areas of fat that need to be removed. We will then take photos before your procedure.
